Annual Board Meeting Change from 2/16/2022 to 3/1/2022
February 11, 2022Special Board Meeting on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
April 1, 2022For coming together to provide assistance to the residents who were affected by the fire at SMHA’s Hugh Taylor Apartments in February. Several families lost everything in the blink of an eye that day. From the largest businesses, to the local organizations, to the single individuals, an extensive collaborative effort was made to ensure the affected residents received the temporary shelter, transportation, and basic living necessities required as quickly as possible. A significant amount of effort was and continues to be put into repairing the damaged units as well. Between the inclement weather conditions and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic it wouldn’t have been possible to accomplish this without the contributions of the Springfield Community.
It takes true selflessness and compassion to spend all of this invaluable time and resources with only the desire of helping each other in mind. We feel blessed by the all-around support received during this difficult situation. It fills us with great pride to serve a populace that draws out the “unity in community.”
